If a document fails to be created, it may be because the user lacks rights to the temporary parse path specified in Workstation Options. Use the following steps to identify and resolve the issue of insufficient rights to OnBase 's temporary parse path.
- Identify the Windows user account running the HL7 Listener service.
-
Identify OnBase 's temporary parse path.
- In the OnBase Client, select User | Workstation Options.
- On the Startup tab, ensure the Temporary Parse Path has a value. If a value is not present, then you must specify a path that the user running HL7 processes can access.
-
Take note of the Temporary Parse Path value. You will navigate to this location when you log on as the HL7 service user account in the next steps.
- Log on to the HL7 service workstation as the user that runs HL7 processes.
-
Check your permissions to the temporary parse path by doing the following:
- Navigate to the temporary parse path specified in OnBase to ensure you can access it.
- Attempt to create a file in the specified folder by right-clicking and selecting New | Text Document.
- Delete the file you just created.
-
If the account's permissions are insufficient, then have an administrator grant the service account the Modify NTFS permission to the temporary parse path.
