Messages can be manually re-queued to be sent by the HL7 Auto-Sender, as long as the associated document has not been purged.

If a message was previously sent unsuccessfully, you may not need to re-queue it manually. If the Retry failed sends after setting is configured for the export destination, the HL7 Auto-Sender waits for a configured period, and then it attempts to resend messages that failed to reach the destination.

To re-queue a message:

  1. Select the message in the HL7 Event Log.
  2. Right-click and select ReQueue Message.
    • If the message had a status of Success or Resent/Success, the HL7 Event Log queues a new message using the same document, message template, and destination. The original message remains unaltered in the HL7 Event Log.

    • If the message had any other status, the HL7 Event Log re-queues the message and changes its status to Unsent.

    Note:

When a message is re-queued, the Status is updated, but the Status Message is not. As a result, an HL7 message that has been sent successfully may still display a message of Error, destination machine not accessible.
