If the HL7 Listener cannot process a message, it can report the error to an administrator by using the Hyland Distribution Service.

For the error notification to be created, the Report errors to user must be configured in HL7 Settings. For the error notification to be sent, the Hyland Distribution Service must be running. For more information about the Hyland Distribution Service, see qnr1664210432829.html .

To activate this feature:

  1. Select Medical | HL7 | Settings. The HL7 Settings dialog box is displayed.
  2. Select the user who should receive the email alerts from the Report errors to drop-down.
    Note:

    Ensure this user account is assigned an email address in User Settings. This is the email address that will receive alerts from the Hyland Distribution Service.

  3. Click Save.
