You can temporarily disable an HL7 import process for process troubleshooting or debugging purposes. Because a system can contain many import processes for one Message Type, you can make an import process inactive when trying to troubleshoot. The procedure below describes how to disable an existing import process.

  1. From the Configuration module, select Medical | HL7 | Import Processors. The HL7 Import Processors dialog box is displayed.

Processes that are currently active display YES in the Active column next to their names. Inactive, or disabled, processes display No.

  2. Either double-click an import process, or select an import process and click Settings. The HL7 Import Processor Settings dialog box is displayed.
  3. Select the Disable option to make this import process inactive. You can clear the check box at any time to make the import process active again.
  4. Click Save.
  5. Click Close to exit HL7 Import Process Configuration.
