If a copied or custom segment is not in use, you can delete it. You cannot delete segments that are assigned to a message template.
CAUTION:
Do not perform this procedure on the default segments and message templates included with your OnBase installation. If you delete or remove a default segment, it will be added back to the system message templates it was assigned to the next time the database is upgraded. Segment changes should be made to a copy of the message template. Copies are not altered when the database is upgraded. To copy a message template, see Copying a Template or Segment.
To delete a segment:

From HL7 Message Template Configuration, select a message template and click Segments. The HL7 Segments Assigned dialog box is displayed.

Click New Segment. The HL7 Segment Configuration dialog box is displayed.
