System message templates are included with your OnBase installation, and are pre-configured as typical HL7 messages used by medical facilities. Select Medical | HL7 | Message Templates to display the HL7 Message Template Configuration dialog box, in which pre-configured system templates are denoted by an X in the System Template column.
When OnBase is upgraded, all segments that were originally assigned to a system message template are reassigned. If you customized a system template, this behavior may cause the template to contain duplicate segments. Copied and user-created message templates are not altered when the database is upgraded.
Select Hide System Message Templates to display only custom templates or user-made copies. The displayed message templates will not be altered when OnBase is upgraded.
