Assign HL7 EDI Processor users sufficient rights and privileges to perform their tasks.

To assign users rights to the EDI Processor:

  1. From the Configuration module, select Users | User Groups/Rights.
  2. Select a User Group.
  3. Assign the User Group the Document Types that members must be able to access. Ensure you assign rights to both the users who will be processing documents and the users who will be viewing the documents once they are processed into OnBase.
    1. Click Document Types.
    2. Select the Document Types or Document Type Groups from the left and click Add to assign the selected Document Types to the User Group.
    3. Click Close to save and exit the Assign Document Types dialog box.
  4. Assign the User Group the Product Rights required to run the EDI Processor.
    1. With the User Group still selected, click Product Rights.
    2. Ensure users have the Client and appropriate Processor options under Registered Processing Products.
    3. To allow User Groups to purge HL7 EDI batches from the Incomplete Process, Awaiting Commit, and Incomplete Commit queues, select the Healthcare EDI Processor option listed under Administrative Processing Privileges.
    4. Click Save.
  5. Assign the User Group the privilege required to generate process reports.
    1. With the User Group still selected, click Privileges.
    2. Select Create List Report to allow users to generate daily reports for HL7 batch processing.
    3. Click Save.
      Note:

      The HL7 batch process must also have Accumulate Processing Information configured to allow daily report generation. See opo1646173251827.html#opo1646173251827__table_2203354 for additional information.

  6. Assign the User Group that will configure the EDI Processor the necessary Configuration Right.
    1. Select the appropriate User Group and click Configuration Rights.
    2. To allow users to configure the EDI Processor, select Process Configuration. This right grants access to the Import menu in the Configuration module.
    3. Click Save.
