Select Combine to one document if a single file (such as a transcription) will be spread across multiple segments or multiple messages.

CAUTION:

When the Combine to one document setting is selected, all of the OBX segments in the message are treated like one file that has been spread across several segments. This means that if you send OBX segments containing seperate files, the file becomes unstable, resulting in a useless, unreadable document. This also results in the loss of all documents in the message.

The Combine to one document setting applies only to clear text data. If Combine to one document is used for any data format other than Clear Text, then Advanced Document Import attempts to import documents as text. As a result, documents may not be imported correctly.

Note:

When using $$DOCTYPE, $$FILEEXT, $$DOCEXTERNALID, or $$DOCREVDATE with the Combine to one document setting, it is recommended to configure these fields only in a segment that does not contain file data.

A warning appears while saving an Advanced Document Import process that has the Combine to one documentsetting enabled.

If a segment filter is configured for the segment containing file data, then documents contain text only from segments that satisfy the configured filter. See Segment Filter Examples.
