The following table summarizes options available for the Advanced Document Import message action:

Option

Description

Document Type

Select the default Document Type to assign to the imported document if the Document Type is not resolved through Document Type mapping. See Document Type Assignment for Advanced Document Import.

Map Document Types

Click to map HL7 message values to OnBase Document Types. These values must come from the field assigned to the predefined $$DOCTYPE or $$FILEEXT value. See Mapping Document Types for Advanced Document Import for more information.

View/Edit Document Type

Click to view or modify the configuration information for the selected Document Type. For information about configuring Document Types, see the System Administration module reference guide.

Support document revisioning if applicable

If the mapped Document Type is revisable, this option allows Advanced Document Import to create documents as revisions of existing documents. See Revision Support for Advanced Document Import and Document Revisions From HL7.

Track Revision Date using

If the predefined $$DOCREVDATE value is mapped to a field in the selected Message Type, then the Track Revision Date using setting displays the mapped HL7 field. For more information, see Evaluating Revision Dates.

Get File Data from Template ($$FILEDATA) %

Provided for information only, this check box indicates whether the selected message template contains $$FILEDATA as a default field value. This value tells the processor where the file data is located in the HL7 message.

  • If the template contains the $$FILEDATA value, the check box is selected and the value's location in the template is displayed.

  • If the template does not contain this value, the file data is extracted from OBX.5.1.

Get File Extension from Template ($$FILEEXT) %

Provided for information only, this check box indicates whether the selected message template contains $$FILEEXT as a default field value. This value tells the processor where the file extension string is located in the HL7 message.
