Appointments can be associated with their scheduled physicians. This association is useful, because the OnBase Patient Window allows users to search for patients who are scheduled to see a specific physician.
For appointments to be associated with physicians, the following requirements must be met:

The Scheduling - Personnel chart data field must be correctly mapped to the HL7 field that will provide personnel codes.

Physicians must be mapped to their respective personnel codes in OnBase Configuration.
To map a physician to a personnel code:

In OnBase Configuration, select Medical | HL7 | Coded Entries | Personnel. The Personnel Code Configuration dialog box is displayed.

Click Create. The Settings dialog box is displayed.

Click Physician. The Personnel Code dialog box is displayed.
