If multiple appointments may have the same appointment ID because they were created by different scheduling systems, ensure both of the following requirements are met:

The Assigning Authority chart field override must be mapped to a component in the same HL7 field as the Scheduling - Appointment ID.

All messages processed by the Appointment Processor must contain an assigning authority value in this component. The HL7 null value (as defined in the HL7 standard) is considered a valid value for assigning authorities.
