The Appointment Processor uniquely identifies the following resources based on both their HL7 code and assigning authority. HL7 messages do not need to provide assigning authorities for these resources, but the assigning authority will be recorded if provided.
The assigning authority is a component occurring in the same HL7 field as the resource identifier. The location of the assigning authority component is not configurable for appointment resources. The following table outlines the sequence number for the assigning authority component for each resource.

For example, if the Scheduling - Location chart data field is mapped to AIL.3.1, then the location assigning authority will be taken from AIL.3.11(if a value is provided).
