This message action creates documents by merging HL7 message data with image templates using OnBase Merge Items. Merge Items permanently place (or burn) Keyword Values and images onto documents in configured locations. For more information about Merge Items, see the Configuration module Help file. This message action requires the HL7 Listener license; it is not available under the Basic HL7 Listener license.

When a document is created from a Merge Item, the Merge Item's overlay is used as the template onto which Keyword Values are burned. Keyword Values can be burned as either text or bar codes.

When processing an HL7 message configured to create a document from a Merge Item, the HL7 Listener creates a shell of the new document that contains no pages.

Note:

The Code 39 (3 of 9) bar code type is used for burning bar codes onto template images.
