To track revision dates, the import process must use a message template configured using the $$DOCREVDATE value.

Note:

If the incoming message contains a blank or invalid date for the $$DOCREVDATE value, then the document is not imported. The HL7 Listener displays an error and sends the configured acknowledgment code1 to the sender.

To map $$DOCREVDATE to a message template:

  1. In OnBase Configuration, select Medical | HL7 | Message Template.
  2. Select the message template being used to create transcriptions.
  3. Click Segments.
  4. Select the TXA segment.
  5. Click Fields.
  6. Select the field where the sending application will place the transcription's revision date. The revision date is typically sent in TXA.7 or TXA.8.
  7. Click Settings.
  8. From the Predefined drop-down, select $$DOCREVDATE.
  9. Click Save.
  10. Designate the Document Type to store older revisions. See Configuring the Replayed Transcription Document Type.
  11. Ensure the import process is configured to support revisions. See the following topics for more information:
1 You can change the acknowledgment code for document import failures under Medical | HL7 | Settings.
