To use the Document Update Processor, assign the Document Update Processor message action to an import process.
Configure this message action using the following options:

Use $$DOCTYPE to Match Document Type |
Select if $$DOCTYPE values in HL7 messages will exactly match the name of Document Types in OnBase. |

Use Document Type Mapping |
Select if $$DOCTYPE values need to be mapped to Document Types in OnBase. Documents will be re-indexed based on the configured mapping. See Mapping Document Types for the Update Processor. |

Add Document to Workflow |
Select to add documents to the initial queue of a Workflow life cycle. Select the life cycle from the Life Cycle drop-down. See Workflow Configuration for the Update Processor. |

Delete Document |
Select for documents to be deleted from the OnBase system using information from HL7 messages. Deleted documents are moved to the OnBase Trash Can, and can be restored if mistakenly deleted. |

Purge Document |
Select for deleted documents to be permanently deleted from the OnBase system. Purged documents can not be restored. |
