Re-indexing may trigger the expansion of AutoFill Keyword Sets. If the HL7 message provides a value for the primary Keyword Type in an AutoFill Keyword Set, the Document Update Processor expands the AutoFill associated with the primary value.
After an AutoFill is expanded on the document, the values from the HL7 message are re-applied to the document. As a result, the final keyword values on the document match the keyword values from the HL7 message.
Use translation tables to resolve potential conflicts. A value in an AutoFill Keyword Set may differ from the value provided in an HL7 message, even though the values have the same meaning. For example, if the value in the HL7 message is HH, and the value in the AutoFill Keyword Set is Hyland Hospital, you might configure a translation table to translate HH to Hyland Hospital. See Translation Tables.
In some situations, the Document Update Processor may remove all secondary AutoFill values from the document before indexing the document with the values from the HL7 message. These situations are as follows:
-
The message specifies the HL7 null value ("" or '') for the primary Keyword Type. See Example: Removing a Primary Keyword Value.
-
The primary value in the message does not match an existing AutoFill Keyword Set.
-
The primary value in the message matches multiple AutoFill Keyword Sets.
