The following table displays the expected HL7 behavior depending on the completion status and whether the transcription is included in the HL7 message.

The transcription is created or revised in OnBase, and the message is passed to the -MRMSANALYSIS server for deficiency processing.

Incomplete

The message is ignored because it doesn't affect anything; the message cannot be used to create or revise a document or to complete a deficiency.

Completed

If the document is in OnBase already, the completion status is updated for the -MRMSANALYSIS server. Otherwise, the message is rejected.

If the message is missing any required values, the HL7 Listener rejects the message.

Note:

If there are multiple matching Missing Signature or Edit Transcription deficiencies, then the -MRMSANALYSIS server logs an exception to the deficiencyexcept database table in OnBase. For more information, see Exceptions Logged During External Transcription Processing, below.
