For a chart to be flagged as a VIP in OnBase, the VIP indicator field in the HL7 message must have a value of VIP. To specify the HL7 field where OnBase should check for the VIP indicator, do the following.
- Select Medical | Charts | Data Fields.
- Double-click the VIP Flag field.
- In the HL7 Reference Field, type the HL7 field to use. The default field is PV1.16.
