When you use this message action to merge a source value into a target value, the source value will be replaced with the target value in the following AutoFill Keyword Sets:

Any AutoFill Keyword Set that uses the source value as the primary Keyword Value.

Any AutoFill Keyword Set that uses the source value as a secondary Keyword Value.
See the following example, where MPI 19 is merged into MPI 20. Both AFKS1 and AFKS2 are affected.
Values from the HL7 message will be used to update secondary Keyword Values in the following AutoFill Keyword Sets:

Any AutoFill Keyword Set where the source value was replaced with the target value.

Any AutoFill Keyword Set that uses the target value as the primary Keyword Value.
This message action will not update secondary values in AutoFill Keyword Sets that already have the target value as a secondary value. See the following example, where MPI 19 is merged into MPI 20, and the patient's last name is changed from Jones to Smith.
