Transcription processors can wrap long lines of text based on the Characters Per Line setting for the Document Type. This feature is enabled by the Wrap long text lines option on the import process.
When Wrap long text lines is selected, the import process will wrap lines that exceed the Characters Per Line setting for the Document Type. The Characters Per Line setting is configured in the View / Print Options dialog box in Document Type Configuration.
Lines that contain more characters than this setting will be broken, and the remaining words will be placed on the next line of the document. If a line exceeds the Characters Per Line setting in the middle of a word, the line break occurs immediately before the word.
The Wrap long text lines setting is available for the following message actions:
The Centricity Import message action also has the ability to automatically word wrap long lines of text, but line breaks are inserted after the word in which the Characters Per Line value lands, rather than before. For more information about how the Centricity Import message action inserts line breaks, see Line Breaks and Word Wrapping for Centricity Import.
