This message action creates E-Forms using data from the HL7 message. An E-Forms license is required for E-Form creation. This message action also requires the HL7 Listener license; it is not available under the Basic HL7 Listener license.

  1. Under Options, select the E-Form or virtual E-Form you want the import process to create and populate with HL7 message data.
  2. Select Support document revisioning if applicable to allow E-Forms to be imported as revisions of existing E-Forms that have matching Keyword Values. The assigned Document Type must be revisable to allow revisions to be created. For information about revisions, see the EDM Services help files.
  3. To view or modify the configuration of the selected Document Type, click View/Edit Document Type.

For general information about configuring Document Types, see the Configuration module documentation. For information about configuring Document Types for E-Forms, see the E-Forms Help files.

    Note:

Default values in non-Keyword fields are cached by the HL7 E-Form processor. If you change the HTML form on which an E-Form is based, and the HTML form contains default, non-Keyword Values, then the HL7 Listener must be restarted to load the default values for the non-Keyword fields from the new HTML form.

    Tip:

E-Forms can be used to create records of prior Keyword Values that were merged using merge messages. For more information, see Capturing Source Values in E-Forms.
