Before installing HL7 components, you must have a functioning OnBase database.

  1. Ensure OnBase is correctly installed. Consult the System Administration module reference guide for detailed information on configuring the following items:

    • Configure all necessary OnBase Document Types.

    • Configure all necessary OnBase Keyword Types.

    • Configure all corresponding Keyword Types for OnBase being integrated with OnBase. Ensure that if different Document Types have the same Keyword Type, that you share the Keyword Type among the Document Types. Avoid duplication of Keyword Types.

  2. Configure any other Installation items, depending on whether the application will be for Outgoing Messages or Incoming Messages:

    • Outgoing Messages—Configure necessary Scan Queues, COLD Queues or DIP Queues as necessary.

    • Incoming Messages—Configure the charts, E-Forms, Virtual E-Forms, AutoFill Keyword Sets or Auto-Folders as necessary.

  3. Apply all applicable Command Line Switches. See Command Line Switches.
