The AutoFill Keyword Set message action is not required in all merge scenarios. If your system follows the Guidelines for Medical AutoFill Keyword Sets, the AutoFill Keyword Set message action is necessary only under the following conditions:

  • Merge messages may contain updated information for the patient's MPI.

  • The system has an MPI AutoFill Keyword Set configured.

To configure the message action:

  1. Select the MPI AutoFill Keyword Set from the AutoFill Keyword Set drop-down.
  2. Select either of the following options:

    • Update Set

    • Create or Update Set

  3. Select both of the following options:

    • Update Existing Documents

    • Update Related AutoFill Keyword Sets via Reverse Lookup
