The following procedure describes how to configure MPI lookup for medical record Document Types. For general information about reverse AutoFill Keyword Set lookup, refer to the OnBase Configuration help or the AutoFill Keyword Sets module reference guide.

From OnBase Configuration, select Keyword | Reverse AutoFill Keyword Sets. The Reverse Autofill Keyword Set Lookup dialog box is displayed.
- From the Keyword Set drop-down, select Master Patient Index Search. Options not applicable to MPI lookup are automatically disabled.

Configure the options described in the following table:
Option
Description
Item Label
Type the label that should be displayed on the option the user clicks to initiate MPI lookup.
The graphic following this table illustrates where the item label (A) is located in the OnBase Client's Import Document dialog box.
Tip:This name is what the user sees when using MPI lookup; make sure it is appropriately descriptive.
Dialog Title
Type the name to display as the title of the MPI lookup window in the OnBase Client when an MPI lookup is initiated.

Replace Existing Keywords
When this option is selected, new Keyword values pulled from the patient chart will overwrite any existing Keyword values entered for the document.
Lock Applied Keywords
Select this option to automatically lock all Keyword values that are applied to the document using MPI lookup.
Note:If both Lock Applied Keywords and Replace Existing Keywords are selected, then locked Keyword Values already applied to the document will be replaced with the Keyword values from the MPI lookup. These Keyword values will also be locked.
Show Lookup Item
Select whether MPI lookup should be available in the following contexts:

The following graphic illustrates where the Item Label(A) and Dialog Title(B) are displayed to users in the OnBase Client.
