The following interface options are available in the Medical Client Settings dialog box:

Option

Description

Medical Records Custom Query

Use the drop-down list to select the custom query designed to pull non-medical record documents into charts. For additional custom query information, see Medical Records Custom Query Configuration.

Document List Sort Order

Use the drop-down list to select one of the following:

  • First Stored First (Document Handle ascending): Documents are displayed within their respective Document Types from oldest to newest based on document handle.

  • Last Stored First (Document Handle descending): Documents are displayed within their respective Document Types from newest to oldest based on document handle.

  • Most Recent Date First (Document Date descending): Documents are displayed within their respective Document Types from newest to oldest by Document Date. Documents with the same Document Date are displayed from newest to oldest by document handle.

  • Oldest Date First (Document Date ascending): Documents are displayed within their respective Document Types from oldest to newest by Document Date. Documents with the same Document Date are displayed from oldest to newest by document handle.

Tip:

Select one of the Document Handle options if the document order should reflect both the date and time when documents were stored.

Note:

In the Medical Records Unity Client, documents within a Document Type can be manually re-ordered by users who have the Reorder Documents privilege.

Show Document Count within each Tab

Select to display a document count in each tab. This option is selected by default.

Show Tabs With no Documents

Select to display tabs even when they contain no documents. This option is selected by default.

Show Queue Counts

Select to display the number of documents within queues. This option is selected by default.
