If the OnBase.ID file cannot be located for the first copy of the Disk Group, each subsequent copy is searched until an ID file is located. If one cannot be found, the user is prompted for the location of a valid ID file. This location should point to an ID file for the Disk Group volume's copy. OnBase will not display any data that cannot be logically connected between the data file, database reference, Disk Group, and ID file.
If the ID file is missing or corrupted, it can be recreated using any text editor. In the event that data files are physically moved on the network, the ID file must be moved along with them, and the new location must be edited in the Volume Information for the Disk Group.
For more information about the OnBase.ID file (also called the system ID file), see the System Administration module reference guide or the OnBase Configuration help.
