A status is displayed for each message in the HL7 Event Log. Available statuses are described in the following table:

Success |
The HL7 message was successfully sent to the specified destination. |
Failed |
The HL7 message could not be sent to the specified destination. See the Message column for a description explaining why the message could not be sent. |
Unsent |
The HL7 message is waiting to be sent by the HL7 Auto-Sender. |
Resent |
The HL7 message has been sent again. This status is followed by Success or Failed, which indicates whether the message was re-sent successfully. |
Canceled |
The HL7 message has not been sent to the specified destination, because it was removed from the outbound message queue. |
Purged (Sent) |
The HL7 message was successfully sent to the specified destination. Since then, the associated document has been purged from the system. The message cannot be re-queued. |
Purged (Unsent) |
The HL7 message was not successfully sent to the specified destination. Since then, the associated document has been purged from the system. The message cannot be re-queued. |
Unable to construct message |
This status applies specifically to HL7 messages sent to Epic by the Signature Deficiencies for Epic module. It indicates the message could not be constructed, because either the document has been removed from the chart, or all the deficiencies have been deleted. See the Message column for a description explaining why the HL7 message could not be constructed. |
