Patient Administration allows you to manually resolve issues with duplicate internal and external identifiers.
To fix duplicate records:
- Use the search functionality to add the item you want to resolve duplicates for to the Results list of the Patient Administration window. See Find Patient Records for information on how to search for records.
- Select the duplicated item from the Results list.

Click the Fix Duplicate button.

If there are duplicated internal IDs, the Resolving Patient with duplicated internal ID dialog box is displayed.

If there are duplicated external IDs, the Resolving Patient with duplicated external ID dialog box is displayed.

Select the duplicate record you want to preserve. The Review Actions section displays the changes that will be made to resolve this duplication, based on your selection.
- Click the Apply button to enact the changes listed in Review Actions and resolve the duplicate records.
