In OnBase Configuration, form packets are classified according to packet type: clinical, registration, or system.

Packet Type

Description

Clinical

Clinical form packets are used with the Clinical Consents module. They are assigned to patients through the Healthcare Form Manager.

Registration

Registration form packets are used with the Mobile eCapture module. They are assigned to patients through the Front Office Scanning client. For more information, see the Mobile eCapture module reference guide.

System

System form packets are used with the Clinical Consents module. There are two types of system packets: All Packet and Workflow Packet.

  • The All Packet type is used when users of the Healthcare Form Manager assign forms to a patient without selecting a specific packet.

  • The Workflow Packet type is used for packets created and assigned to patients through the OnBase Workflow module.

You cannot reconfigure system form packets, but you can rename them as needed.
