Defining Dates is used to further determine which document or folder the selected document/folder type will be retrieved from OnBase when the action field of the Terminal Emulation screen has been double-clicked.
To access the Date dialog box, click Configure Date Fields from the Terminal Emulation screen tools box.
The Document/Folder Type section indicates which document/folder this date will be used to find.
Click one of the following buttons that corresponds with the date guidelines that OnBase must follow when searching for documents with matching keywords and dates:

If you want to use the Field button, you can manually enter the X and Y Positions and Length coordinates, or you must exit out of the Date(and Action Fields if opened) dialog (s). From the Terminal Emulation screen, select the date you want to configure. Enter back into the Date dialog box by clicking the Configure Date Field button from the tools box. The X and Y Positions, and Length coordinates will now be automatically entered.
Do not forget to click the Format button if you are going to use a Field Date as part of the cross-referencing configuration.
