When indexing scanned image documents, index keywords must be entered into both the terminal emulation window and OnBase Index dialog box. Screen scraping eliminates the need to enter the keywords twice. If screen scraping is configured properly, from Terminal Screen Scraping option of the Configuration module, the keywords will only have to be typed into the Terminal Emulation screen. The scraped keywords will automatically be entered in OnBase Index dialog box.
To use the screen scraping functions, open the Terminal Emulation screen data entry form. The entire group of page settings will be loaded into memory.
To utilize the screen-scraping configuration, prepare a document to be indexed. Open the Host Enabler and click on Connect. To gain access to the Index dialog box, open the Document Imaging window. You can access this window by selecting Processing | Scan/Index in the Client module. Select the Awaiting Index scan option and double-click on the batch to index. Right-click on the batch and select Index Documents.
Type all the correct keyword values for the image document into the Terminal Emulation screen data entry form. Then click the appropriate screen scrape function key to move the values to the Index dialog box. You can either use the function keys on the keyboard, or you can configure the Screen Scrape functions on the Key Mappings dialog box.
