When working with batches in the Batch Processing layout, you can send these batches to any status step within the custom capture process to which you were granted access. This allows you to bypass the configured routing of document sets for the custom capture process, which might be useful when you need to resend documents back to an earlier status step for additional processing, for instance.

To use this option in the Batch Processing layout, right-click on a batch and select Send To | Status Step.

Note:

This option is not respected when the associated batch is pending commit or is in the process of being committed.

Once you have used one of the above methods to access the option, the Send To: Status Step dialog box is displayed.

The potential destination status steps are listed alongside their step ID numbers. To sort the list by either the Step ID number or the Step Name, click the corresponding column header. To sort the list in reverse order (for example, ascending or descending), click the same column header again.

If you have a long list of potential destination status steps, you can use the filtering controls below each column header or begin typing a value in one of the search fields below each column header. Only the status steps whose names contain the value you typed in the search field or match your filter settings will then be displayed. For more information on filtering Unity Client data lists, see the Unity Client module reference guide.

If you want to update the status of the documents as they are routed to the selected status step, select Update Document Status to enable the drop-down list, and then select one of the following statuses:

  • Indexed: Select this status for documents that have been indexed.

  • Unindexed: Select this status for documents that have not been indexed.

  • Needs Rescan: Select this status for documents that are awaiting rescanning.

Once you have chosen a destination status step from the list, do one of the following to send the selected batch to that status step:

  • Select the desired status step and click Send.

  • Double-click the desired status step.
