To configure field mappings for Keyword Types, you must first associate the Batch ID generated with an HxC export package to an assigned OnBase Keyword Type. Assigning the Batch ID to an OnBase Keyword Type indexes the HxC Batch ID number for each document imported into OnBase.

You must configure at least one HxC Batch ID to an OnBase Keyword Type.

The Batch ID is located in the batch.xml file within the HxC export package. To configure the correct XML tags and attributes, it is recommended you have the batch.xml file open side-by-side with the OnBase Configuration module.

Note:

Before you can assign an HxC Batch ID to an OnBase Keyword Type, you must configure a Document Type for an HxC Import Processor process. For more information on configuring Document Types for an HxC Import Processor process, see Assigning Document Types.

To assign an HxC Batch ID to an OnBase Keyword Type:

  1. In the OnBase Configuration module, select Import | HxC Import Processor . The HxC Import Configuration dialog box is displayed.
  2. From the HxC Import Processing Format list, select the process you want to configure the Batch ID for and click Field Mappings. The Import Processor Configuration dialog box is displayed.
  3. Select the Document Type you want to configure with the Batch ID from the Document Type list and click Process Field Configuration.
    Note:

This list includes only the Document Types that have been configured for an HxC Import Processor process.

The HxC Process Field Configuration dialog box is displayed.
  4. Below the Keyword Type column, select the Batch ID Keyword Type from the drop-down list.
    Note:

The Keyword Type you use to map the HxC Batch ID must be unique to the Process Field configuration. You cannot use a Keyword Type that is already configured for indexing a Document Type.

  5. Below the Mapping Type column, select HxC Batch ID from the drop-down list.
  6. Below the XML Tag column, enter the name of the XML tag from the batch.xml file that contains the Batch ID number. In a typical batch.xml file, the name of the XML tag is labeled Batch. For example, the following image highlights the tag that contains the Batch ID number:
  7. Below the XML Attribute column, enter the name of the XML attribute that is associated with the assigned Batch ID number. In a typical batch.xml file, the name of the XML attribute is labeled ID. This attribute is contained within the Batch tag. For example, the following image highlights the attribute that identifies the Batch ID number:
  8. Click Add. The Batch ID is now assigned to an OnBase Keyword Type.
  9. Click Close.
