HxC Import Processor process settings must be configured to point to the correct location of the HxC export package on your system and the OnBase Scan Queues to which the contents of the export package are sent for processing.

To configure the HxC Import Processor process settings:

  1. In the OnBase Configuration module, select Import | HxC Import Processor . The HxC Import Configuration dialog box is displayed.
  2. From the HxC Import Processing Format list, select the process to configure settings for and click Settings. The HxC Import Settings dialog box is displayed.
  3. From the Import Package Location section, enter the file path to the HxC import package in the HxC Import Directory field.
    Note:

You must use a UNC path if your HxC import package resides in a network location. Mapped drives cannot be used.

  4. Enter the name of the import package in the HxC Import Package field. All HxC import packages are exported as zip files and will include the extension of .zip.
You can use the * wildcard in this field to specify multiple import packages. For example, *.* processes all zip files in the directory.
    Tip:

Click the Browse button next to the HxC Import Package field and navigate to the import file to populate both the HxC Import Directory and HxC Import Package fields.

  5. From the Settings section, select a Scan Queue to which to send scanned batches from the Send to Scan Queue drop-down list.
    Note:

You must select a Scan Queue to run a HxC Import Processor process.

  6. Select a Scan Queue status from the Scan Queue Status drop-down list. The selected Scan Queue status is displayed in the Scan Queue configured in the Send to Scan Queue option.
If you selected a scan queue that has been configured for custom capture processing in the Send to Scan Queue drop-down list, only the <Scan Queue Entry Point> option is displayed in the Scan Queue Status drop-down list. This ensures that the processed batches are sent to the custom capture process at the appropriate, pre-configured, Import status step. For more information on configuring custom capture processes, see the Document Imaging module reference guide.
  7. From the Package Post-Processing section, select an option to determine the action to take with the original hxcpkg.zip export package after a successful import. See the following options:

    Option

    Description

    Leave in Source Directory

The original export package is left in its original directory.

    Move to .\PROCESSED Directory

The original export package is moved to a PROCESSED folder within the original directory.

    Note:

This option also applies to export packages marked as Read-Only.

    Delete

The original export package is deleted from the directory. This option is selected by default.

    Note:

This option only applies to export packages not marked as Read-Only.

  8. Click Save.
