The Processing Options section of the General tab contains options which control the behavior of the rule. See the following table for descriptions of each processing option.

Disabled |
Select to disable this rule. Disabled rules are not deleted, but they are ignored during processing. Depending on the rule's processing type, the associated attribute will not be generated for outgoing messages or will not be read and saved for incoming messages. |

Coded Value Must Exist |
Note:
This option is only available for <Complex> type rules associated with a coded value set. Select to only allow coded values that are already part of the selected set. By default, any unrecognized coded values are automatically added to the set using the data provided by the sending system. Enabling this option strictly enforces the coded value set as it is currently configured. |
