The Port Binding tab of the IHE Service Configuration utility is used to bind SSL certificates to secure ports. To bind certificates:

  1. Click the Select Certificate button. The Windows Security dialog box is displayed, listing locally stored security certificates.
  2. Select a security certificate to bind to the port and click OK. The Friendly Name, Issuer Name, Subject Name, and Thumbprint fields in the Port Binding tab are populated with details from the selected certificate.
  3. Enter the number for the port you want to bind the certificate to in the Port field.
  4. Select Bind certificate to port if it is not already selected.
  5. Click the Run Command button to bind the selected certificate to the specified port. A confirmation message is displayed, informing you that the port binding has been completed.

    You can also unbind certificates from specified ports which are no longer necessary. To unbind certificates:

  6. Enter the number of the port from which you want to remove the certificate binding in the Port field.
  7. Select Unbind certificate from port.
  8. Click the Run Command button. A confirmation message is displayed, informing you that the port binding has been removed.
