When set to 1, the OnBase Client uses its existing code to determine whether or not a PDF opened externally. This is accomplished by querying the web browser host and detecting if the document is valid. If the document is not valid, the Client's viewer window is closed.
When set to 0, the OnBase Client will bypass this check and the viewer window will remain open. This allows users to view PDF documents correctly in rare cases where the web browser host reports that the document is not valid, even though it is opened correctly. This setting should not be changed to 0 if the intention is to open PDF documents externally.
If this setting is changed to 0 to allow a PDF document to display when the browser reports that the document is not valid, some actions such as initiating printing from the OnBase Client's menu or toolbar will not function because they require access to a document reference from the web browser. host. Workarounds include using the Print button in the Adobe Acrobat interface, or enabling the Use internal printing logic for HTML documents option in the OnBase Configuration module.
