- Select the primary documents (previously configured in a statement type) from any document select list.
-
Select Render Statement from the right-click menu or by selecting File at the menu bar.
Note:
When rendering statements from an envelope, clicking Render Statement for All Documents will render a statement for all documents within the envelope, even if just some of the documents in the envelope are selected. To render a statement for only selected documents, right click and select Render Statement for Selected Documents.
The Render Statement dialog box will be displayed. Set the desired parameters to use to render statements.
Note:All documents that are selected when Render Statement is chosen must be of the same document type. If they are not, a message box appears informing the user that all documents must be of the same document type to render statements. Likewise, if no statement types are defined with the document type of the documents selected as the primary document type, a message box displays stating that there are no statements defined for this document type.
Note:If a statement without keyword values is rendered, it will automatically be archived regardless of the statement type settings. This is to prevent unnecessary processing time.
Note:Selecting all the statements within an intended batch does not mean that the statements will be rendered as a batch. To render statements as a batch, see Render Statements at the Batch Level. Attempting to render selected statements as a batch may result in incorrectly archived copies.
-
Select Generate to initiate the rendering process. The rendered statements are output as configured in the statement type, and the appropriate Statement Generation report is produced. The job appears in both the OnBase Print Server window and the Windows print queue window (shown below).
-
If crippled statements were enabled in the statement type settings and OnBase was configured to place crippled statements in a folder, OnBase will create a folder for the statement job and place the crippled statements in the folder. If the statements were generated from a batch, all the crippled statements from the printing of that batch will be placed in the same folder.
Statement Rendering Parameter
Description
Print Queue
Specifies OnBase print queue that will receive the print request. This dialog box will display, by default, the print queue for the workstation selected.
Note:The quality of the statement is determined by the default DPI of the printer used to render the statement.
Statement Type
Specifies the statement type that will be used to produce the rendered statement(s).
Distribution Process
If Image Statements is being used in conjunction with Document Distribution, this drop-down option is used to select the specific delivery process for the rendered statements.
Distribution Print Queue
This drop-down menu is only enabled when a Distribution Process is selected for a Statement Type that has been configured to use separate jobs for printing and archiving. The print queue selected in this drop-down list will be used for the distribution copy rendering.
Date
This parameter, combined with the From and To text boxes, allows you to specify a date range to be applied to the secondary documents that are found in OnBase.
These dates will be applied if the statement type is configured to have OnBase match with the dates entered on the dialog box. Otherwise the statement type will determine the range for the secondary documents.
Single Print Job
Selecting this option causes all of the statements that are rendered to be a part of the same Windows print job. Normally, each statement is printed as its own Windows print job.
Print Crippled Statements
This option allows crippled statements to be printed.
Ignore Statement Aliasing
Select this option to ignore the configured Statement Type alias and render the statements according to the settings of the Statement Type selected in the Statement Type drop-down list.
If the statements were configured to be archived, they will also be archived. However, if a prior copy of the statement has already been archived, the new copy will not be archived.
