Primary Document Type Option

Description

Primary Document Type

Select the Document Type for the primary document at the Primary Document Type drop-down list. The documents associated with this Document Type will first be printed when statement rendering is initiated. This Document Type will also be used as the basis for finding the secondary documents for each statement.

Keyword Type to Order Printing

The Keyword Type to Order Printing option is used to specify the document order output of the rendered statements. This order is based on a per-statement basis, not a per-batch basis. The primary documents will be sorted by the specified Keyword Types for each primary statement.

Statement Enclosure

Note:

The Statement Enclosure drop-down list is only available if the database has not been upgraded to use the latest configuration of enclosures and reconciliations. See Assigning Enclosures and Reconciliation Items by Institution for more information.

The Statement Enclosure drop-down allows for an informational page to be included with the statement (marketing information, newsletter, etc.). This document must be imported into the SYS Overlay Images document type. Although these are overlay document types, they are not standard overlays that are used as an additional layer over a document.

Font

If the primary document is a text document, the Font drop-down list allows you to select a special font for the statement that is different from the font used in the print format you have selected. If no font is chosen, the text font from the selected print format will be used.

Print Format

The Print Format drop-down allows for a specific print format to be configured for each primary Document Type in the statement type configuration.

Note:

When using PDFs as primary documents, leave the Print Format set blank to <<None>>.

For more information about configuring print formats, consult the System Administration Module Reference Guide or Help file.

For information about using print formats with Image Statements, see Special Considerations for Use of Print Formats with Image Statements.

First Page Settings

Print Format: The Print Format drop-down list enables you to select a specific print format for the first page of the primary document in the rendered statement. For example, you could configure the first page of the primary document to be printed on letterhead pulled from one paper tray, and all subsequent pages of the primary document to be printed on standard paper are pulled from a second paper tray.

Note:

The Reconciliation Page drop-down list is only available if the database has not been upgraded to use the latest configuration of enclosures and reconciliations. See Assigning Enclosures and Reconciliation Items for more information.

Selecting a print format enables the Reconciliation Page drop-down list. Customized information (a reconciliation page) can be printed on the back side of the first page. To do this, select a Reconciliation Page from the drop-down list.

For more information about configuring print formats, consult the System Administration Module Reference Guide or Help file.

Note:

If a print format is not assigned to a secondary document, the default print format will be used.

Note:

Special considerations exist with the use of Overlays with Image Statements. Using Overlays with Image Statements

Options

To further identify the pages the secondary documents will appear on, you can select the Use Primary Document Title as Secondary Document Header option. Add any title you have configured for the primary document that might include the document's name and/or keyword values, etc., to appear along with the date and page in the header for the secondary document pages.

The Suppress Primary Document Printing option will prevent the printing of the primary Document Type.

The Use Redacted Rendition option will print the redacted version of a document, as long as the following conditions are met:

  • The user has rights to the original Document Types

  • The Document Type with the redacted note is configured as a primary Document Type.

  • The user has rights to the redacted note type

If there are multiple redacted renditions of a document, the document with the most recent document date will be used.

The Duplex advances paper for next document option has applications when the print format for both the primary and secondary documents is specified as duplex. When selected, this option forces the secondary document to begin on a new page to prevent the printing of a secondary document on the backside of its primary document.

When the D uplex advances paper for next document option is selected, the Blank Page Does Not Increment Page Count option is enabled. When this option is selected, the blank page created between a primary and secondary documents when a primary document has an odd number of pages will not be counted in the page count.

The Print Primary Document last option will render the all secondary documents before the primary document. This applies to printed statements as well as archived copies of statements.
