The printed statements may be saved back into the system as image documents through the use of the parameters in the Archive Statement Settings section.
Statements need to be archived if they will be used in a Document Distribution process.

Archive Statement into System |
Select this option to save the rendered statements into OnBase. Note:
When using an alias, this setting is always respected by the default statement type, not the alias. |
Do not archive if statement is not distributed: Select this option to prohibit archiving of statements that are not distributed through the Document Distribution module. Selecting this option ensures that statements that are assigned to a distribution process, but do not end up being distributed, are also not archived into OnBase. |
|
Only generate archive copy: Select this option to only generate an archive copy of statements. No statements will be printed or distributed when using this option. Any print server command line switches on the Client will not apply when this option is selected. |
|
Use separate jobs for printing and archiving: This is a performance option, which allows for separate jobs to be used for printing and archiving. The performance is increased as the printing takes place first for the rendered statements and then performing the archival secondly. For this option to function correctly, the -POS(Print Only Server), -PAS(Print Archive Server), or -PS(Print Server) command line switches must be added to the appropriate print server. Five options (check boxes) become available when using separate print jobs. Enabling either Add reconciliation page only during archival or Add enclosure only during archival directs OnBase to include the enclosure or reconciliation page only when the statement is archived and/or distributed electronically (e.g., e-mail, fax, etc.). When the statement is printed, the enclosure/reconciliation page will not be used (since, in most cases, preprinted letterhead is used in its place). Enabling Do not divert archived statement ensures that archived statements will not be diverted, even if the conditions for diverting a statement have been met. Enabling Include OMR Marks on Archived Document ensures that the OMR marks configured for the Primary Document Type appear on the archived documents. Note:
To print OMR marks on archived copies, if the Use separate jobs for printing and archiving option is selected, the Include OMR Marks on Archived Document option must also be selected. If the Include Bar Codes on Archived Document option is selected, bar codes configured for the Primary Document Type appear on the archived documents. If this option is deselected, bar codes only appear on the printed documents. Note:
If the Use separate jobs for printing and archiving option is deselected, bar codes always appear on the archived documents, regardless of the status of the Include Bar Codes on Archived Document option. If the Use overlay only during archival option is selected, it disables the printing of the Document Type overlay on the printed copy of the statement. To archive crippled statements into OnBase, select the Archive crippled statements option. When this option is selected, crippled statements will still be distributed. |
|
Archive statement as PDF: Allows statements to be archived in PDF form. Note:
If you have only the Archive statement as PDF option applied, without the Archive PDF as rendition option applied as well, the statement cannot be distributed using the Document Distribution module. |
|
Archive PDF as rendition: Allows statements to be archived as a PDF rendition. This option is only available if the Archive statement as PDF option is checked. Note:
In order to create the PDF renditions, the Document Type must be renditionable. Add archived statement to Workflow: Adds archived statements into a Workflow lifecycle. Note:
The archived statement Document Type must be assigned to a configured Workflow lifecycle before this option will function correctly. |
|
Archived Statement Document Type: Defines the Document Type for which to store the rendered statement. |
|
Archived Statement Disk Group: Defines the disk group for which to store the rendered statements. |
