To configure overlays for use by different institutions:
- Select the appropriate institution from the Institution Configuration dialog box.

Click Overlay. The Document Type Selection dialog box is displayed.
- Select the appropriate Document Type. You can use the Document Type Group drop-down select list to sort Document Types.

Click Select. The Overlay Options dialog box is displayed, reflecting the settings for the currently assigned overlays.
- If multiple revisions of the document type exist, select the revision that will be affected by the new overlay settings.

Individual groups of settings are configured for each type of overlay: View, Print, and Fax. Supply the appropriate values for the settings in each of these groups. Copy view to print and Copy view to fax can be used to quickly copy the same settings configured for the View overlay to the Print and Fax overlays, respectively.

Overlay Image
This drop-down select list contains all of the overlays that have been stored in OnBase.
Note:When overlays are imported into OnBase, they are stored under the document type SYS Overlay Images.
Font Options
This drop-down select list allows you to choose a different font for the overlay when it is applied.
Text Display
This drop-down select list selects how overlays are applied for text documents using the following options:

Not Available- Disables the use of an overlay with the displayed text document. The Overlay right-click option for the open document, and the View Overlay button are inactive.

Default Off- Displays all text documents without an overlay. The Overlay right-click option for the open document, and the View Overlay button on the control bar are active and can be used to toggle the overlay on/off.

Default On- Displays all text documents with an overlay. The View Overlay button on the control bar is active and can be used to toggle the overlay on/off.
Note:When the overlay is hidden, a right-click option to view the overlay becomes active.

Required- Enforces the use of an overlay with the displayed documents. The Overlay right-click option for the open document, and the View Overlay button on the control bar cannot be disabled.
Image Display
This drop-down select list selects how overlays are applied for image documents using the following options:

Not Available- Disables the use of an overlay with the displayed image document. The Overlay right-click option for the open document, and the View Overlay button are inactive.

Default Off- Displays all image documents without an overlay. The Overlay right-click option for the open document, and the View Overlay button on the control bar are active and can be used to toggle the overlay on/off.

Default On- Displays all Image documents with an overlay. The View Overlay button on the control bar is active and can be used to toggle the overlay on/off.
Note:When the overlay is hidden, a right-click option to view the overlay becomes active.
Required- Enforces the use of an overlay with the displayed documents. The Overlay right-click option for the open document, and the View Overlay button on the control bar cannot be disabled.
Left /Top/Right/Bottom
These values correspond to the left, right, top, and bottom margins of the overlay in pixels and define how the overlay will appear over the document. You can type positive or negative values into the margin fields. You may need to try several combinations of margin configurations before the overlay fits the document correctly.
Note:For text documents only, an Overlay Display Configuration dialog box can be accessed from the open document in the Client module. The same adjustments for margins can be made at this dialog box. To access the dialog box, right-click and select Overlay Settings after enabling the display of the overlay.

- Click Close to return to the Institution Configuration dialog box.
