Each Cityworks business object (e.g., Work Order, Service Request, etc.) has a unique value that is referenced in the Layout Manager XML and sent along with a QueryValue parameter and QueryType parameter to the callAE() method in the AeCaller.js script.

To configure a Cityworks layout to include OnBase buttons:

  1. Copy a Layout Manager XML file provided by your solution provider. The following files are available:

    • WOGeneral.xml: modifies the general Work Order page.

    • SRGeneral.xml: modifies the general Service Request page.

    • ViewCUFObjectSum.xml: modifies the Case Summary page.

    • GenInspectionEdit.xml: modifies the Inspections edit page.

      Note:

      Other pages/buttons can be created using the same or similar pattern.

  2. Save the copied file into the Default folder of your Cityworks location. For example: C:\inetpub\wwwroot\Cityworks\WebSite\Xml\Default
