The Hyland Broker for Microsoft Office is a Hyland Cloud-supported service that allows Hyland software to interact with Office 365, and it is required when using Microsoft 365 cloud services. In order to use the Hyland Broker for Microsoft Office, you must acquire the license and register your solution with Hyland Software.

For information about licensing, registration, and receiving a tenant ID, contact your first line of support. Hyland Cloud users need to contact Hyland Cloud Platform Engineering (CPE) to register for and set up the Hyland Broker for Microsoft Office. As part of this registration process, if your OnBase system is on-premises, a publicly accessible OnBase Application Server (or load balancer) URL, per OnBase tenant, needs to be provided to Hyland CPE to communicate to your system. For example: dmzserver.customer.com/appserver64

Once registration and setup are complete, you will receive the following pieces of information, which are used for Client Configuration for the Integrated Office Viewer:

  • A Hyland Office Broker URL

    For example: https://wopi.hylandcloud.com

  • A customer tenant ID

  • An OnBase Application Server public endpoint (used for the AppServerOrigin setting)

    • For Hyland Cloud OnBase systems, the public endpoint is provided by Hyland CPE to the customer. For example, customer.HylandCloud.com/appserver64
    • For on-premises OnBase systems, the public endpoint is provided by the customer to Hyland CPE. For example, dmzserver.customer.com/appserver64
