Custom scan queues can be configured to allow the Export/Update with Brainware Intelligent Capture custom process using the Custom Processing status step.

CAUTION:

When using the Custom Processing status step to route documents to your Brainware solution, ensure that the status step is being polled by no more than one OnBase Client running as a service. If more than one service polls the status step, the documents may be duplicated when they are routed to your Brainware solution.

To allow custom processing to occur on custom scan queues:

  1. Complete the steps described under Scan Queue Configuration for Custom Processing.
  2. In OnBase Studio, select the Capture Process tab in the Repositories pane. This tab lists the scan queues enabled for custom capture processes.
  3. Within the Capture Process tab, open the scan queue and capture process to be used for the Integration for Brainware. This capture process is displayed in the design view pane.
  4. Drag the Custom Processing status step from the Toolbox pane to the design view pane. The sub-options for Custom Processing are displayed on the General tab in the Properties pane.
  5. Select the Custom Processing With the OnBase Client option.
    Note:

The Custom Processing With the OnBase Client option is only supported in the OnBase Client, while the other Custom Processing options are only supported in the Unity Client. Selecting the Custom Processing With the OnBase Client option automatically deselects and disables the other Custom Processing options.

  6. Use the Evaluator connectors to integrate the Custom Processing status step into the capture process.
  7. Complete the rest of the capture process by adding and configuring any other status steps and evaluators as needed for your solution.
  8. When you are finished configuring the capture process, save the changes and publish the capture process.
