The following upgrade considerations have been compiled by OnBase subject matter experts. These upgrade considerations are general and applicable to most OnBase solutions and network environments and should be considered each time an upgrade is performed.

Carefully consider the impact of making any changes, including those listed below, prior to implementing them in a production environment.

For additional general information about upgrading OnBase, refer to the Upgrade Guidelines reference manual , and visit the Hyland Community at: https://www.hyland.com/community.

Update Anchor Tabs

As of OnBase Foundation EP4, anchor tabs on a DocuSign Template are applied to all documents in the envelope. If an envelope contains multiple documents, each with a DocuSign Template with an anchor tab using the same anchor text, a signature field will be placed multiple times in the same location. This means the recipient will have to sign the same location multiple times.

To prevent this issue, update all anchor tabs in your DocuSign Templates and their corresponding text string identifier (AnchorTabString) for all documents that will be stored in that type of envelope. There must be a unique combination of anchor tab and text string for each DocuSign Template mapping.

For more information about using anchor tabs in DocuSign Templates, please refer to DocuSign documentation.
