Once an envelope has been uploaded to DocuSign through OnBase, it can be voided before signing is completed. Once an envelope is voided, it is nullified and signers can no longer sign the documents contained within the envelope. DocuSign notifies signers by email the documents ready for their signatures have been voided.

To void an envelope that has been uploaded to DocuSign, from the Unity Client:

  1. Retrieve a document contained within the envelope you would like to void.
  2. From the Document Search Results list, either select or open the document. Do one of the following:
    • Right-click the document from the Document Search Results list or the document header (if opened) and select DocuSign | Void Envelope.

    • Click the DocuSign button from the Document tab and select Void Envelope.

  3. If desired, enter a reason for voiding the envelope.
This reason is displayed in the void notification email sent to the signer(s).
  4. Click OK.
You are notified the envelope has been voided.
  5. Click OK. The process is complete, and signers are notified the documents are no longer available to sign.
