In OnBase, Duck Creek-specific keywords are read-only. The source for these keyword values is stored in the Duck Creek system. The only way for a user to update the keywords is to re-index the document. In the event a document is re-indexed in OnBase, the information must be updated in Duck Creek.

Duck Creek services are called to update the appropriate objects, removing the document reference from the incorrect object and adding it to the correct object.

Because documents can originate outside of the Claims system and a user uploading them directly, the need to allow to re-associate a document to the correct entity within Claims is required. Typically this is when a document or a set of documents were associated with an incorrect Claim number by an automated process, brought in via batch process, or by a document indexer in the mailroom.
