You can map Epic keywords to OnBase Keyword Types in the Front Office Scanning Data Set by configuring an additional, Epic-specific attribute in the Epic FOS XML configuration file (typically, EPICFOSCONFIG.xml). Depending on which element you configure this attribute for, you can make the mapped Keyword Types either required or optional for the FOS Data Set.
However, if you are integrating with Epic Hyperdrive using a SMART on FHIR launch of the FOS client, you must also map Epic keywords to OnBase Keyword Types by configuring FHIR mapping templates in the OnBase Configuration module.
For more information on configuring required or optional OnBase Keyword Types for the mapped Epic keywords in the EPIC FOS XML configuration file, see Mapping Required or Optional Keywords.
For more information on mapping Epic keywords to OnBase Keyword Types for SMART on FHIR launches, see the section on configuring Keyword mappings for FHIR mapping templates in the FHIR documentation.
