To enable HTTP Activation in Windows Server:
- Open Windows Server Manager.

Select Manage > Add Roles and Features.
The Add Roles and Features Wizard is displayed.
- On the Select Installation Type page, select Role-based or feature-based installation.

Click Next.
The Select Destination Server page is displayed.
- Select the Application Server that will be communicating with the Image Retrieval API.

Click Next.
The Select Server Roles page is displayed.
- Click Next to skip to the Select Features page.
- Expand .NET Framework [X.X] Features, with [X.X] being the version of the .NET Framework specific to your version of Windows Server.
- Expand WCF Services.
- Select HTTP Activation.

Click Next.
The Confirm Installation Selections page is displayed.
- Confirm the HTTP Activation feature is selected for installation.
- Click Install.
