The Sweep/FileSpec registry key is used to filter file extensions when sweeping documents using the Scan Acquisition Server. This key is located at:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\ACEpicScanControl\Sweep\FileSpec
Note: Filtering of multiple file extensions is not possible. You can choose to filter one specific file extension, or to allow all file extensions.

Choose one of the following options:

  • To allow all file extensions (default), set the key entry to *.* or leave it blank.
  • To filter to a specific file extension, set the key entry to *.XXX where XXX is the chosen file extension (such as PDF or TIF).
